The Challenge

Despite strong brand loyalty and high traffic, Sugar Baby’s original website acted as a conversion bottleneck. An outdated, unstructured design and oversized images created a disjointed browsing experience, while a sluggish mobile interface and a confusing checkout process led to high drop-off rates. Without clear product storytelling or a distinct subscription model, the brand struggled to build the professional trust necessary to turn visitors into long-term customers.

Optimizing for the "Mobile-First" Shopper

Seamless Browsing on the Go With the majority of beauty shoppers browsing on their phones, we prioritized a "thumb-friendly" mobile experience. We optimized site speed, simplified the navigation menu, and streamlined the mobile checkout process to ensure that the transition from an Instagram ad to a completed purchase was as fast andfrictionless as possible.

High-Conversion Cart & Checkout

Reducing abandonment at the finish line the final step was refining the cart experience. We added "Trust Badges" (secure checkout, money-back guarantees) and a "Mini-Cart" feature that allows users to see their progress without leaving their current page. This reduced the cognitive load and made the final "Pay Now" click feel like a natural next step.

Solving the Subscription Puzzle

Clarifying Value to Increase Recurring Revenue One of the biggest hurdles was the lack of clarity between one-time purchases and subscriptions. We introduced a redesigned toggle system that clearly highlights the savings and benefits of subscribing. This simple UX fix turned a point of confusion into a powerful tool for increasing Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).

The PDP Overhaul

Turning Product Pages into Sales Machines The Product Detail Page (PDP) is the heartbeat of any e-commerce site. We redesigned this from the ground up to include structured information: clear ingredient lists, "How to Use" guides, and skincare routines. By adding high-quality trust signals and social proof directly next to the "Add to Cart" button, we addressed customer objections in real-time.
